I’m lucky enough to be heading back to sunny Brisbane, Queensland again this year and thought I would share a few of the things I’ve been playing around with while creating samples and workshop content for these workshops.

Coming up with workshop ideas from scratch can be a little tricky but it’s something I absolutely love doing.  I feel the workshop content is crucial to the success of the event so spend a lot of time researching, experimenting, planning, organising (you get the picture) to ensure students feel they’ve made a worthwhile decision in attending the classes and they certainly get value for money.

I had a bit of an idea what I would be doing for these 3 days in Brisbane but it still managed to take me about 3 full weeks to create samples, perfect the samples, turn samples into finished pieces, create student notes, create student templates.  Then of course there are photos to take, pics to edit, workshops descriptions and, would you believe, I’m still not done.  I’ve yet to do the tools and materials list and order products for classes.

I know most of you understand the amount of work that goes into creating workshops and workshop content but just for those who don’t…it’s a huge job.

Okay let’s have a look at some of the pics I’ve taken and what we’ll be doing during our 3 fun-filled Brissy days.  If you want more in-depth details on each workshop, please visit the Upcoming Events page on my website.

Day 1 – YOU CRACK ME UP!

DAY 2 – RESIST THIS!

DAY 3 – FORGET ME KNOT!

I’m looking forward to seeing all my friends in Brisbane again (and my gorgeous son of course ).
